Shopping at Bali

My driver bring me to this Oleh Oleh shop at Sanur.
Pro:
  1. Fixed price, hence no bargaining skill required. Quite cheap.
  2. Air conditioned.
  3. Have fitting room for you to try out the cloth prior to purchase.
  4. Comfortable.

Con:
  1. Not huge, limited choice. There are some nice design at ubud, tampaksiring and sukawati market not available here.
There are some nice boutique at ubud.

Shops at tampaksiring exit path is not bad too. I feel that they offer lower price and yes you could bargain for further discount. I feel that the cloth here is better in term of quality and design as compare to those in kuta/legian area. I personally not very keen on the product at kuta and did not buy anything there.

There is a Karya Alam shop opposite Oleh Oleh which our drive bring us to purchase the Indonesian layer cake. The chinese lady owner speaks Hokkien too. Rp. 100k per cake, packed nicely in a box for you to bring it home. Not the best Indonesia layer cake I have tested so far, but it tasted not bad.

Sukawati market. It's pack and hot here. I managed to get a nice sling bag at Rp30k and nice black t-shirt at Rp.15k. (less than RM5) So CHEAP!

Bali~Sunset View Grilled Seafood Dinner @ Jimbaran Bay

Out to my surprise, Jimbaran Bay is very near to Denpasar airport. We had our sunset view grilled seafood dinner before catching our flight home.

This is where you pay to enjoy the unique dining on the beach.

    Some dance performance...
If you want good food, please do not eat here. The seafood here is very limited,  bloody expensive and not nice. 1 sotong + 1 garoupa fish + 4 king prawn cost us almost Rp. 600k.
    Fried sotong.
King prawn, not very big though.
    Steam garoupa fish
This kangkung is FOC and it is very nice, the best of all dishes.

Bali- Monkey Forest @ Ubud

This is at the entrance to monkey forest. We manage to see monkey from outside. Instead of purchasing the ticket to enter, we went shopping at surrounding area. There are shop along both side of the road. If you stand facing the monkey forest and walk towards right, the long stretch(believe me, it is very long) of shop eventually lead you to the Ubud market.

I like this monkey photo the most. How about you?

Leng lui, taking my "chok" photo again?

It is not hard to guess my gender, right?
               Ok, I'm taking banana.

I'm feeling bored. How about you?

Bali-Must Go-Tanah Lot

I believe everyone would agree that tanah lot is the must go attraction of Bali. It is a temple built on a small rocky island surrounded by sea water and it is famous for its magnificent sunset view.  Even if you are not in time for the sunset, the view is just great!

Extremely strong wind. Look at the trees! I felt like I am going to be blown away by the wind. If you are bringing baby, please bring your baby carrier. It is so dangerous to hold with bold hand.

Daddy, snap my photo with the ducks.
   Ducks...
              From far...
Byebye. Haha, I got mummy's hat!

Bedugul-Lake Bratan-Ulundanu Temple

We have our lunch at Kamandhatu restaurant before proceeding to Ulundanu Temple.
    Fried Chicken Bombay

Watermelon and pineapple juice
Fried Noodle (Mie Goreng) Served With Egg Omlatte
Nasi Goreng(Fried Rice) Special Served with Chicken, Egg Omlatte

    Balinese Campur Special

    Total bill Rp.228,000 (about RM74)

Ulundanu Temple build on the promontory surrounded by lake's water. This holy temple is dedicated to supreme God in his manifestation as Dewi Danu. the Goddess of the lake. My aunt said this place looks japanese instead of balinese. :o)  Beautiful, right?

I enjoyed the route to Lake Bratan more than the route to Kintamani. It has higher sea level, more scenery as it goes around the mountains. I would rank this as 2nd beautiful place after tanah lot.
